Ultrasonic Hatch Tightness Survey is to check the condition of related structures in the ship’s hatch such as ship’s hull, hatch cover, hatch-coaming plate, manhole lid, tank-top plate, tank-side plate, the watertight door at mast house/ deckhouse, ventilation pipes, ventilation, crane piler … to detect damage, leakage which would not ensure water tightness for ships.
When conducting an Ultrasonic hatch tightness survey, PESI surveyors will perform the following tasks:
– Collect documentation, record ship’s particular.
– Check some relevant certificates.
– Check the condition of the ship’s hatch: Record all defects and places of the defects.
– Test hatch tightness by the fire pump system
– Check water tightness by ultrasonic
On completion of the site survey, PESI will issue the report for the customer.
